I have been seriously searching everywhere for the perfect entertainment center, it seemed almost impossible. I wanted something functional but cute. That blended well with my style. After 6 months of just not finding what I wanted. I took to the thrift store to see if I could find a piece with strength and storage ability our family needed.
I found this lovely buffet table at the local salvation army here in Anchorage. The price tag was little steep $90 but It was real wood, heavy, perfect, and with little damage. So it was coming home with me for a nice little facelift. I noticed "sale" signs everywhere they said "50% off all items to clear out for new inventory" So when I headed up to the counter, sure enough it was only $45 dollars!!!
What a steal!
I picked up some chalk paint and sanded down the finish and rough edges.
I taped off just a few accent pieces two middle drawers, the barn cabinet door, and the top middle section. I just love using Matte color finishes it just nice and subtle.
I just love this piece because behind the cabinet was an additional 3 drawers for some nice hidden storage. Perfect when you have a ton of kid craft stuff that doesn't need to be right out in the open every day. One of the drawers is just coloring books.
What I Used: Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paint from good old Walmart
Colors (Plaster) it is a beautiful off white
(Silver Lining ) I waxed with clear wax.
