21 confessions of a stay at home mom

1.You might have mornings like this. Cute and so innocent, then pours the entire box of cereal on the floor. (While you are in the bathroom trying to pee)

2. Silence scares you,   (The children are destroying something or making a mess somewhere)

3. Although you don't "work" you feel like you were thrown in the washer during the spin cycle and exhausted by 7pm.

4. "Mommy time"  is hiding in your closet praying that the kids don't find you for 5 minutes during hide and go seek.

5. You know every theme song to all cartoons.

6. You can't help but giggle when all the kids have a melt down at the same time and they make completely no sence. "Mommy.., I wanna sleep with my cow and ipad" really.....

7. You can't fall asleep at night because the sound of silence is so beautiful.

8. You reheat your coffee 20 times before actually get to finish drinking it.

9. Baby wipes are an actual cleaning product. (You can wipe the whole house down with a pack of wipes)

10. You have no response when your husband asks you what you did today.. (Because he just won't get it.)

11. Your patience is almost depleted by 4pm ( you become no b.s mommy)

12. Your mood depicts solely on how long of a nap your children takes....

15. Yoga pants... Are pants

16. The levels loudness in your house is similar to an airplane take off or landing.

17. Cuddles and hugs make it all worth it. But a glass of wine does it faster

18. Bed time is key to sanity. Mommy ain't playing. "Go to bed"

19. Healthy diet is your children's left over scrapts.

20. When people asks you "so what do you do as a homemaker?" You want to scream, kick, pull your hair out but you actually only reply with " oh you know raising children, cooking, and cleaning."
(With a fake smile) the just had their life spared...

21. It's never to early for a glass of wine.

Lilah's skin and allergies update

For the last year we have been battling for answers after 3 1/2 long years we now have answers on what is going on with Lilah's health.

She would have massive skin out breaks that would leave her crying and us completely helpless. But Dr. Jones came to the rescue. She scored over 100 on her ige to peanuts and will be doing OIT peanut trial in 6 months but the real issue is dermographia. She has been diagnosed with a rare skin disease that affects only 4% of the world population.

Dermatographic urticaria: also known as the skin writing disease.

She gets these raises up welts everywhere they last as fast as they come about 30 minutes. How is the doctor treating this condition with high doses of antihistamines. She is taking three doses of children Zyrtec, antacid  ranitidine, benydryl, and vitamin D.
It is common with children that have this disorder to not be able to absorb vitamin D the correct way Lilah had a blood test done although she takes a daily vitamin she only had 10% of what her body needs in her blood. So now she is taking 1600 IU of vitamin D to get the full value of 100% to absorb. I feel so bad for for her the massive amount of doses she has a day will hopefully lower her flare up so that she will be able to live a normal happy life. We also switched her to all natural training pants while we potty train through the night
Hopefully we have more progress by next  week.

iPad recipe holder crafty Tuesday

Today is crafty Tuesday so it's time to bust out the paints, vinyl and glue guns. Today I made a cute little iPad /iPad mini holder for the kitchen. I absolutely hate fining myself staring at the counter while cooking. It causes my clutzy butt to spill and make messes.
So I picked up this cute wood holder from our local craft store.
Paints used
Light Ivory (white)
North Sea (blue)
First paint the whole thing light ivory and wait to dry 20 minutes. Then bust into the blue paint a light coat over the whole piece. Drying time again. 30 mins you want it to be very dry.

Now it's time to sand this baby down to give it a beautiful distressed look.

I just love distressed looks so really glide the sand paper on the edges to bring out that ivory white.
Finally finished!
